CURRICULUM
The ambience will be intellectually and aesthetically stimulating. The faculty will undertake the continuous process of self-renewal. Curriculum transaction will be edu-aid supported with learning experiences being rewarding relevant and rigorous. Proactive and student friendly each day will be greeted with a fresh breath of energy with each session bench marking standards in academics attainment and non-scholastic domains. The needs and aspirations of all children will be fully and fairly met. Opportunities for participation in activities will be abundant. Ample avenues will be there for enhancement for individual capabilities. We will partner to improve performance, practices, capabilities and results to acquire national presence and international patronage.
We prescribe to progressive curriculum of State Board, Government of Karnataka.
SCHEME OF ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION
Evaluation is a means of realizing the extent to which we have been successful in imparting such an education. Evaluation is an indispensable part of the educational process as some form of assessment is necessary to determine the effectiveness of teaching learning processes and their assimilation by learners.
SCHEME OF EVALUATION FOR CLASS VI – IX
Scholastic areas – Grading on 9 point scale & Co-scholastic areas – Grading on 5 point scale.
First Term: FA1 (10%)+FA2 (10%)+SA1 (30%)=50%
Second Term: FA3 (10%)+FA4(10%)+SA2(30%)=50%
Formative Assessment: FA1 (10%) + FA2 (10%) + FA3 (10%) + FA 4 (10%) = 40%
Summative Assessment: SA1 (30%) + SA2 (30%) = 60%
In SVVM, we follow the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE). It refers to a system of school based assessment that covers all aspects of student’s development. It emphasizes two fold objectives.
